This week the team have been focused on a number of areas:

Account system updates. We are working to make the account system more user friendly and accessible to a larger audience. Towards this end, we’re working on changing from a daily billing schedule to a monthly billing schedule. Additionally we’re putting in place the option to pay directly with a credit card, and finally, allowing customers to create accounts with their email addresses. All of these changes will fit into the existing system and all revenue will still be on-chain.

New website. The team continues to work on the website, which is now in the build stage. We’re still working through the build itself, which is being done in such a way that we can deliver it through CDN like https://thedecentralizedweb.com/, but we’re also working on the design of the pages while we do this.

Testnet multi-SG. We’re continuing work on this project. It’s complex, but we’re close now to having things working. Once testnet is functioning with multiple Stargates, we’ll run tests for a period of time, before rolling it out to mainnet.

We have a couple of people (including myself) away today, so a slightly shorter week than usual, but don’t let the brief weekly update fool you, the amount of coffee consumed this week has been high ☕

Additionally, Stargate v2.18.1 was deployed on Monday morning, delivering more streamlined metrics to mainnet. This had been running on testnet since the previous week and was rolled out this week.

In the community, Pod released Edge Staking GUI released versions 0.9.2 and 0.9.3. This project allows you to stake devices in an easy manner and now includes notifications for node earnings and lottery winnings.
