## How the Pressure Index Works

The bot pressure index is a 0–100 blend of four network-wide rates over the last
24 hours: the share of solved traffic scoring in the bottom three humanity-score
deciles, the rate of background attempts escalated to an interactive challenge,
the siteverify failure rate, and the replay-attempt rate.

Everything is computed from hourly aggregate counters — Shield keeps no per-visitor
data, so there is nothing more granular to leak even if we wanted to. Honeypot
widgets (which exist to attract bots on purpose) are excluded so they don't skew
the picture.
