Good evening @everyone 👋
This week we have been focused on a number of features for the Edge account platform, including adding a support system, charges for server backups, and enhanced billing options for commercial partners. It’s been a busy week, which also saw a number of releases.
Account API v1.6.0 and Account v1.11.1 were released to mainnet. These updates improve server and content delivery management, add the option to enable 2FA manually as an alternative to using the QR code as well as more design consistency across the UI and updated dependencies.
Account v1.11.2 then followed, fixing a minor UI bug.
CLI v1.7.7 was made available to download on mainnet and testnet. This patch fixed some issues with stake management. You can install the update by running edge update (or edgetest update for testnet).
Account API v1.6.1 and Account v1.11.3 were deployed to mainnet. These fix a couple of issues with underscores in domain names.
Gateway v2.11.6-166 was deployed to mainnet. This update added a 'disconnect grace period' allowing gateway to remain operational for a time should Stargate become unavailable. This allows us to update Stargate without any potential network downtime, whereas previously there was a chance that a slow reconnection would lead to momentary service unavailability.
@edge/xe-utils v1.4.2 was published to npm, adding a stakes type for wallets with stakes, allowing them to be accessed in TypeScript projects.
Gateway v2.11.7-169 was deployed to mainnet. This update fixed a small issue where very occasionally a socket would close prematurely leading to a write error.
Gateway v2.11.8-171 was deployed to mainnet which fixed an issue with uncaught cache exceptions causing process restarts.
Finally, to cap off the week, Gateway v2.11.9-174 was deployed to mainnet, reducing the volume of logs produced during normal operation, enhancing the ability of the team to spot adverse events.
