This week we’ve been working on a number of features and improvements to the account system, including the support system, a paid-for priority support feature which comes with guaranteed response times, billing system support for managed accounts, and server backup charges.

Some of these improvements are already live on mainnet, with the rest coming early next week.

Additionally, a number of releases were made this week:

Account API v1.7.0 was deployed to mainnet. This introduced subscription functionality, which will be used soon for enhanced support subscriptions, with more subscriptions planned for the future.

Explorer v1.21.5 was deployed to mainnet. This update improved the performance of the network map.

@edge/xe-utils v1.5.0 was published to npm. This added a new distributed networking component which will be used by Stargates in upcoming updates.

Host v2.6.0-88 was deployed to mainnet, fixing an issue with the crop resize method when used in conjunction with width and height parameters.

We’ve also been working with a number of potential partners, exploring the possibilities of integrating the various Edge services into partner services. We continue to develop these opportunities and should you have any potential partnership opportunities, do let us know. Rewards are available.

…and that includes referring customers to Edge. In your Edge account interface you’ll find a unique referral link, which you can share with your friends, colleagues, and social channels. You will receive 10% commission on the usage of anyone who signs up using your referral code for the lifetime of their engagement. This can easily add up to a highly significant amount.

We continue to migrate clients over to the new billing platform and to Edge Servers, CDN, and DNS, and you’ll have noticed that your Hosts are much busier than they used to be. This activity should increase even further as we continue to introduce clients to the new system.
