Good evening everyone 👋

This week we’ve been very busy behind the scenes, preparing for the onboarding of new devices into the network. You may have seen some of the CLI updates this week: v1.2.1 was released onto mainnet, which included several improvements and bugfixes, meanwhile v1.3.0 was released onto testnet (followed by v1.3.1, v1.3.2, v1.3.3, and more to come) which brought changes to device management and some more features in preparation for onboarding. CLI v1.3.3 in particular fixed an issue with the update functionality so if you have a testnet CLI between v1.2.2 and 1.3.2, please be sure to manually update by downloading the latest binary again.

Elsewhere, Explorer v1.10.1 was delivered, fixing a small display issue. Thanks to @Max for bringing this to our attention. A great example of the community working with the core team to deliver improvements.

Explorer, Index, and the Web § have all received a number of improvements on testnet, and we expect these to all be deployed to mainnet next week. Remember, the testnet is open to everyone, and you can get some XE to play with (up to 2,500 XE a day) and will soon be able to onboard devices, so if you haven’t already, check it out: https://test.network

The required preparation for stake migrations was completed. They will start to be migrated to your wallets starting next week, so be sure to keep an eye out for an email asking you to confirm your XE wallet address.

The mobile app has been undergoing some UX improvements. While it’s functionally complete, we just want to touch up the interface and experience before we officially launch the public beta.

And, with onboarding on the horizon, work has been underway on all three network services (Stargate, Gateway and Host), focused this week on the delivery of these services through CLI and automatic updates once connected.

There’s huge forward momentum on two of the projects that Edge is supporting in the NFT space, with a series of meetings happening on both sides of the Atlantic. We’re head down and can’t speak about them in detail yet, but expect to be able to do so in the next 1–2 months.

We opened discussion with two additional crypto projects about bringing them on to the network in the near future. The latest episode of Conversations on the Edge, the Edge Network Podcast, just dropped. Check it out:

The latest issue of our now weekly newsletter is scheduled for tomorrow. If you’re not signed up, do so now! https://edge.press

We currently have a dozen candidates interviewing for developer roles and taking our blockchain challenge. We’re super excited to be talking with them further next week, so if you’re one of our candidates, we look forward to chatting soon.

If you’re looking for a challenge, why not hit us up? We’re all remote and looking for full and part time contributors. More information can be found here: https://wiki.edge.network/supporting-the-network/careers
