Hi everyone đź‘‹
Updates to the Edge site went live, with better support for Edge CDN.
You can see it here: https://edge.network/en/content-delivery
Documentation for image processing in the network was completed. This will be published on site next week.
There are many more changes coming, starting with the deployment of the new services section, which separates out service deployment and configuration from Console, which will remain focused on node deployment and staking.
The team has also been working on the planning phase for the replacement for the existing auto-ssl solution, which has shown some intermittent instabilities in some regions.
A replacement will include a global certificate store which will synchronise certificates with Gateways in realtime and clean up expired certificates from the persisted datastore.
Limitations with the existing solution triggered an outage in CDN on Tuesday morning, with certificates expiring and failing to autogenerate. This is a critical workstream which will be receiving significant attention over the coming weeks.
We also have the latest build of the TNC Mainet node up and running in a container within the network.
The Edit + Edge CDN build of the website for the mobile focused blockchain we’ve been working with was completed. It goes live next week.
We launched a low-level marketing campaign for CDN across multiple channels targeting specific audiences here in the UK.
And finally our roadmaps for 2021 were moved towards completion. They will be signed off next week and will be published in the Edge Github repo.
Next Friday’s update will be the last before Christmas. The team will be available throughout to ensure the smooth operation of the network through the Christmas period. We’ll be back in full on the 04th of January.
And that’s it for this week.
Enjoy your weekends.
