It’s been another jam packed week here. Before we head off for our weekends, here’s a quick rundown of some of the highlights…
We confirmed a new hire on Monday: Paul Davis is joining us as the new head of our mobile apps team. He will be working to bring the network to mobile devices.
We confirmed a popular food brand as a new customer (details to be released soon!), who are bringing their content management and e-commerce on to our technology stack and in to the Edge network 💥
Paul, James and Chris met with a well known travel company about the use of our technology for a refresh of their platform. We’re in to talk to them about moving forward next week.
Paul met with a couple of the leading sports car manufacturers to discuss the use of our technology for their content platforms.
Chris and I met with a well known lifestyle company here in London about migrating their site and app to our platforms.
The design team spent most of the week working on putting the finishing touches to the Edge network explorer, which can see a preview of here in the announcements channel.
Adam and Eduardo have had their heads in network telemetry, defining an enhanced service for recording and aggregating network performance data.
Arthur shifted Stargates, Gateways and Hosts from persistent to ephemeral storage. This is an update to improve performance and recovery from node outages. It’s in testing now on Testnet.
(Did I mention that our Testnet is now running under test.network? Cool domain huh?!)
We met with one of our advisors who will be introducing us to a series of potential new customers for our technology over the coming month.
The networking team sent out replacement SD cards to all of the Founding Node owners who had been reporting as offline. These should be arriving now ish.
Will has been driving forward OEM integration. he is in discussion with potential partners as well as working on our own device strategy.
And finally we are happy announce that we have just confirmed another customer for the network and the technology stack – a mobile app that we will be talking more about very soon.
And as ever, much, much more besides.
Enjoy your weekends X
