Hi all đź‘‹
We obviously had a massive AMA session today, so this will be a briefer than usual update.
You can see a transcript of the AMA here: https://edge.network/en/knowledge/network/ama-recap-july-10th-2020/
This week the network team focused on performance improvements to Gateway cache, specifically on how it handles invalid cache data and missing directories.
Arthur has been working on updates for the Edge roadmap for Q3/4 2020, which will be released early next week.
We’ll let you know when it’s been published.
The team have also been adding monitoring capabilities to network API, as well as to other core services. This gives us a far better view of the load on the network during deployment and configuration updates, something that until now has been a bit of a black box.
And they’ve been looking at adding feedback to the invalidation route in CDN, which currently returns a blank page. (It works really well, it just doesn’t tell you that it does!)
Work in support of a new commerce platform being built on our tech kicked off.
The new business team pitched for some network services integration work in support of a new mobile app, which we should hear back on next week.
And we continued to support Cookalong TV, which has now had three live events, and continues to add celebrities to its roster. Their platform was built out in three weeks using our technology. If you haven’t done so yet, check it out at: https://cookalong.tv
And that’s it for this week. Enjoy your weekend.
