Good evening @everyone 👋

The 2023 roadmap prioritisation proposal closes in a few hours, and with 37 votes cast and 97.3% in favour, it’s looking like the roadmap for this year will be ratified. Thank you to everyone who voted and took part in discussions. If you haven’t had a chance to read or vote on the proposal yet, you can find it here:

There has been good discussion around prioritisation, and some of that feedback will be incorporated in the development focus for the year. The core team will feedback on the proposal with further information.

And a week from now, the proposal to implement an automatic lottery system for active Hosts will close too. If you haven’t seen that yet, you can find it here:

We expect to be publishing a new proposal soon relating to the introduction of fees to network transactions. This evolution is designed to help to further secure the network. Look out for the proposal and pitch in to the discussion.

Alongside this we are expecting to put forward proposals relating to staking and the network bridge.

The team continues to push forward with multi-Stargate support. This is our top priority. We have been extending the testnet and now have 80+ Hosts running, with more coming next week. We expect to expand the testnet to around 100 Hosts while testing multi-Stargate changes.

On Tuesday testnet saw Stargate v2.16.0-287 deployed, containing a number of changes including improvements to session management in Stargate, a refactor of how we manage metrics (for operational oversight), along with a number of smaller changes.

There has also been continued preparation ahead of switching the testnet over to the new group of testnet Stargates. While this isn’t the longest weekly update, there are lots of changes going on behind the scenes and we look forward to sharing these with you.

The team have also been continuing their support of the security startup in integrating Edge & XE into their product offerings.

The project has also just signed an engagement with another project that is looking to use Edge services to build their product upon. This one is in the AI space. When we can talk about the details, we will.

If you’re on telegram, there will be a scheduled video chat on March 15th at 17:00 with @mood. Focus of the chat will be marketing & community development ideas discussion and planning. We hope you can be there.

And that’s about all for this week!

Enjoy your weekend 🍻
