Good evening everyone 👋
This week we moved a step closer to releasing CDN, with the team integrating billing for CDN into the Edge account system. Test deployments have been working successfully and we’ll continue to run tests over the weekend and into next week. We estimate that it will be available on mainnet within 1-2 weeks
The user interface for CDN has had configuration editing, domain management, and metrics implemented this week, with further work next week to finish up metrics and advanced configuration support. Everything else is working splendidly and we’re now testing, polishing, and putting the final few pieces into place.
Following CDN being released, there will be a number of additional updates to the account system, and once those are complete, we will press on with the interfaces for community governance. This will be accessed via the new website which is looking fan-tastic!
So many exciting things are happening right now.
Speaking of which, as some of you may know, the team have been working with the Mudas Capital project for some time. For those of you who don’t know, Mudas Capital is a new form of venture capital (VC) that’s created utilising the full potential of Web 3.0 technologies & systems.
Mudas supports the adoption of Web 3.0 by investing in projects that:
- Disrupt and in some cases replace legacy industries
- Encourage mass consumer adoption of Web 3.0 principles and practices
- Democratize early-investment opportunities in emerging tech
- Demonstrate regenerative economic principles
Mudas Capital is a DAO (Decentralised Autonomous Organisation), set up with the objective of merging venture investing with storytelling and narrative — an approach the DAO founders loosely label Adventure Capital.
Earlier this year, we showcased some of the amazing artwork at the heart of the project. For those of you who may have missed it, here it is again, 100% hand drawn by Brazilian artists:

Mudas is being built by a large team of extremely talented people from all over the world, and is being put together on the Edge Network, which is providing hosting, DNS, CDN and the XE Blockchain.
The whole Mudas team have been working away on what we think is the most exciting and artistically rich NFT-centered project to date. With a solid mission, artwork that is out of this world, and a team bursting with talent, what’s coming is going to blow your minds. We’ll keep you up to date with the latest, as it happens, so you don’t miss the beginning.
Keep an eye out for updates on the Mudas Twitter for what’s about to come next, you won’t want to miss it: https://twitter.com/mudasnft
If you participate in their genesis and hold $EDGE in the same wallet, you’ll receive a 10% bonus. You can read more about the project on: https://mudas.capital
We’re also working on a number of potential partnerships, with services ranging from Edge Servers, DNS, CDN, and applications of Storage which, while currently experimental, is totally amazing. In addition to this, we’ve begun to ramp up our social activity across a number of social platforms, including posts like these:

Perhaps you’re a member of some underground technology groups, crypto-enthusiast laden Discord servers, or even just a local book club. Ask your friends if they’ve ever seen a decentralized website, show them https://thedecentralizedweb.com/ and invite them to join us as we build the next web.
And remember that your Edge Account includes a unique referral link. If you use this when sharing Edge with your friends, colleagues and social channels, you will receive 10% commission on their usage of the network for the lifetime of their engagement. This can easily add up to a highly significant amount.
Here’s some food for thought: say that the average digital agency handles 10 new projects a year; and that each of these has associated cloud costs of $3,600/month (this is the average spend globally on CDN per month, so while not the whole picture, it’s a useful benchmark); and that the same solutions on Edge will cost them $1,000/month. If you referred that agency, you would be receiving $1,000/month at the end of year one; $2,000/month at the end of year two; and so on. Now what if you referred five agencies to the network.
And that’s all for this week.
Enjoy your weekends!
