As part of Edge’s ongoing commitment to transparency and development in the open, the core team write weekly updates to the Edge community. This is the 200th of these updates.

Good evening @everyone 👋

This week the Explorer saw an update to the map. You can now toggle node types on the map, so you can see where the Stargate (soon to be plural), Gateways, and Hosts are.

More work has been done preparing for enabling network operations across multiple Stargates. Testnet had three new Stargates added with networking now complete. A number of updates were made across the service estate but we found a few areas that need a bit more work before being multi-Stargate ready. We continue to test on testnet and will keep you updated as we work towards this big milestone.

Also this week…

Index v2.4.2 and Explorer v1.22.3 have been deployed to mainnet. These updates add earnings payout statistics to the Overview page and list pending burns on the Burns page, plus a couple of backend bug fixes.

Explorer v1.22.4 has been deployed to mainnet. This patch improves the look of the XE Earned and XE Burned statistics on the Overview page.

Wallet v1.18.6 has been deployed to mainnet. This patch fixes a bug with wallet and transaction etherscan links in the deposit modal.

Wallet v1.18.7 has been deployed to mainnet. This patch fixes a bug where more than 6 decimal places could be entered when sending a transaction.

CLI v1.8.2 has been released to mainnet and testnet. This fixes a couple of minor bugs (including the 32nd December date issue!) and adds a new –env-file option to the device start command, mainly used for Stargates and Gateways. Run edge update or for testnet, edgetest update to get the latest version.

Index v2.4.3 and Explorer v1.23.1 have been deployed to mainnet. These updates add the ability to toggle different node types on the network map.

Explorer v1.23.2 has been deployed to mainnet. This patch improves the Overview page UI on mobile devices. Edge Servers sold out in the first region 💥 We’re busy bringing more capacity online and are also preparing for a second region.

Some of the team are away over the next few weeks so things may be a little quieter, but we’ll still have lots to talk about as always.

And that’s it for this week!

Enjoy your weekend 🍻
